Other programs spearheaded by Earle embody Discover Dance, the training and outreach branch of Madison Ballet, and Behind the Curtains which provides a look into Madison Ballet’s annual manufacturing of The Nutcracker. Earle Smith received his training at the prestigious School of American Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet School beneath the path of famed teachers and directors such as Paul Mejia, Francia Russell and Nolan Dingman. Prior to coming to Madison, Earle danced as a soloist and in principal roles with the Texas Ballet Theatre and performed within the corps de ballet at Fort Worth Dallas Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet.

Having come from a large Polish/Russian household, eating, loud talking and community shaped her life. She was a tiny rebel with a large creativeness, understanding at a young age that she quite didn’t slot in and the world was a much larger place than the quiet suburban landscape that seemed to endlessly surround her. She moved to rural Colorado, studied literature, and worked for NPR and other various publications, while quietly portray on the aspect.
